1. 46 is the average age of workers in the title industry. This is slightly higher than the average across industries which is 42 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 
2. 84% of title agents work for an independent agency. 
3. 66% of title agents work mostly or only on residential closings. 
4. 38% of closing agents and processors chose "not enough time/rushing through tasks" as one of their biggest challenges. 
5. In order to meet the demands of their clients and complete title orders on time, many title agents and agent-attorneys use strategic partnerships to complete certain aspects of real estate due diligence. 29% of respondents to our State of the Title Industry survey do title searches in-house, 65% order title searches from their underwriters and 6% outsource title searches to a third party.
